DEVADANAPATTI-TAMILNADU

Devadanapatti is a town situated in Theni district of tamilnadu in the southern region of India. Madurai, one of the oldest cities of Tamil Nadu is located 58 km. northwest of Devadanapatti and is an ideal tourist destination. The nearest airport is Madurai Airport and the nearest railway station is at Theni.

According to the 2001 census report, Devadanapatti had a population of 13,772 inhabitants. Males and females constitute an equal proportion of the population. In Devadanapatti, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Devadanapatti has an average literacy rate of 60% which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 69% and the female literacy rate is 52%.

The main attraction of Devadanapatti is Kamatchi Amman Temple situated at a distance of 3 km. Ideal time to visit here is during the festivals of Masi Maham and Shivaratri in the months of February-March.
